Starting from the ice rink, walk along the side of the "Salle Pignard" stone building. Cross the meadow to reach the sign marking the start point (Chemin de Renard Futé). Walk 150 m up this path ("trees" sign) and then turn off to the left on a good path that leads to the "Maisons Jacottaz ("animals" sign). Carry on along the flat path into the forest. After 200 m, you reach a large junction ("life of a tree" sign). Turn left following a wide path ("ants" sign and then "role of the forest" sign). This path comes back towards Montchavin ("panorama" sign) and then comes out onto a small road. Cross the road and go down the path to the tennis courts ("birds" sign) and on to the village. You can either walk back to Les Coches along the Route de La Fontaine or else take the free shuttle bus.
You can also do the Chemin de Renard Futé starting from Montchavin. From the Place du Bassin in the centre of the village, walk towards the tennis courts, where the "Chemin de Renard Futé" signpost marks the beginning of the walk. There are more uphill sections if walked this way (+250m), requiring between 1½ and 2 hours for a walk with the family. In this case, you can come back via Les Coches along the Route de la Fontaine.
