From the car park take the righthand path. After a short climb, it levels out and leads to the Plan du Lac refuge (overnight accommodation and meals). Walk alongside the Plan du Lac fishing lake, then take the path down towards St Barthélémy Chapel. Continue downhill (the path becomes steeper) in the same direction until you eventually cross the bridge, then follow the track up to the Entre-Deux-Eaux refuge. Continue on the GR55 hiking trail in the Leisse valley as far as the Croé-Vie bridge. The path then climbs to quickly reach the Arpont balcony path. Continue on the GR55 which follows the Vanoise stream as far as the pass and the refuge of the same name.
Return via the same path.
