In the center of the village, take the Rys road by car to reach the Sevan car park (end of the paved road). From Sevan, follow the path leading to Lake Arvouin, a lake resulting from the erosion of the Arvouin glacier, an area frequented by ibexes.

At lake level, you can continue to the Arvouin chalets, alpine chalets still in operation, in which Abondance cheese is made; or go around the lake.

A beautiful family hike, without great difficulty, to meet the local fauna and flora.

Accessible outside the snow period and depending on weather conditions. Check with the Tourist Office beforehand to find out the current access conditions. Recommended period of practice: spring - summer - autumn.

In the Abondance valley, you will find 3 types of markings: • local markup on wooden panel, • the departmental markings called P.D.I.P.R. (Departmental Plan of Promenade Routes and Hiking) on ​​beige metal panel and green writing, • the FFRP markup (French Federation of Hiking), red and white mark for GR® (Grande Randonnée), red and yellow mark for RP® (Randonnée de Pays).
