The aim was to accompany the reconversion of the Plateau d'Assy. At that time, the poet Jean-Pierre Lemesle and his team wanted to get art out of the museums. They obtained the support of the most representative artists of contemporary sculpture in Europe, America and Japan. Five works, by Alexander Calder, Albert Féraud, Agostin Cardenas, Joan Gardy Artigas and Charles Semser, remained in our territory. Since 1989, over the years, this heritage has been enriched, creating the route of contemporary sculpture.
