A tiny chapel, in a tiny village, located on a plateau with an exceptional view...
In times past, making the journey from the village of Beaufort to Cormet de Roselend was not always easy: the route which rose from roughly 800 metres to 2,000 metres above sea level, could be dangerous. The chapel is located at the intersection of a number of footpaths, trails and mule tracks which were very busy before the arrival of the motor vehicle!
Follow in the footsteps of our ancestors and stop off to take a look around the chapel: you'll discover, amongst other things, a brightly coloured, main altarpiece and an altar frontal - antependium - adorned with ornate floral designs.
