Château Montmayeur

The original building was a13th century tower protected by an enclosure. The tower was renovated in the 15th century and became the dwelling place of the Montmayeur lords.

On 3 floors, models, drawings and sound effects reveal the secrets of the valley's traditional buildings, from the town houses to the Alpine chalets.

In the cellar, you can find out about wine in the Middle Ages: Vineyards in the Savoie region (you will be invited to go back in time and taste "Hippocras") as well as what tools were used to work the land.
