A fishing port at Thonon-les-Bains?
There are always a dozen professional fishermen at Port de Thonon bearing testament to Lake Geneva’s fishing heritage.
They sit in pretty huts and cast their nets and fish traps over Lake Geneva all year round and in all weather conditions.

They "leave" the huts every day to get their nets out and go back to the port with their catch of the day: True fera, perch, trout, Arctic char, burbot and crayfish.
You will find these specialities at many of the lakeside restaurants serving sophisticated Lake Geneva flavours and hearty Chablais mountain cuisine.
You can order fresh fish direct from the fishermen in summer. Just go to the port!
