Since 1859, the hyperthermal waters of La Léchère-les-Bains have brought life to the area: development of thermalism, tourism and recently of geothermal energy. It is in this context that the museum space of the waters of La Léchère, Aquacalida, opened its doors in 2014.
The tour gradually takes the visitor through the history of La Léchère, the development and benefits of thermalism, the advent of geothermal energy and the major local and global energy issues.
Interactive and fun, the Aquacalida space is a place of cultural and scientific mediation accessible to all, to children and adults alike, to novices and initiates.
