DEPARTURE: The village of Giettaz in Aravis with the church of Saint Pierre aux Liens and the museum of the past that tells the life of the Giettois.

ROUTE: From the Tourist Office, cross the Route des Grandes Alpes and climb towards LA CAILLÈRE and join the PONT DE NANT PARREUX. Turn right towards the MORTINES, UNDER THE FIRES and then CRÉVE-COEUR (caution, the path crosses several times the Route des Grandes Alpes). Cross the road in the direction of TUNNEL DES ARAVIS then turn right on the trail all the way to the VIERGE DU CHATELARD: panorama plunging on La Giettaz. Back to CRÈVE-COEUR, turn left towards LES COMBES. At BOIS DU FOUESTARLE, turn right towards PÉTAZ, LES PUGINIÈRES, PONT NOIR and join LA GIETTAZ.

POINTS OF INTEREST:
- The statue of the Virgin of CHATELARD which was built in 1936.
- Beautiful view of the valley of the Arrondine, the Aravis and the Mont Blanc.
