The path goes down for about 200 metres before it branches (to the left, it goes to Pont de l'Arc where you can get to the top of the Bobsleigh run and Plagne 1800). Take the path that climbs straight ahead into the forest.
Beautiful views looking across to the Beaufortain range and Mont Blanc.
At Plan Bois, several altitude restaurants where you can stop for a meal.
Please note that the only way back is on foo. There is no bus back from Montchavin, Les Coches or Plan Bois.
