From the top car park in Belle Plagne, take the roadway that goes to the right of the alpine chalets. After walking 300 metres, take the path on your right, up to the Inversens tunnel. Go through the tunnel. At the other end of the tunnel, continue on to Roche de Mio (2,739m). In Roche de Mio, a beautiful panorama of the Alps (orientation table behind the cable car station).

Possible variation
Climb to the Chiaupe glacier. To do this, take the cable car from Roche de Mio towards the glacier (please note that you have to buy your lift ticket at an Info Point before your departure). For the return, take the ski lift down to Roche de Mio or to Belle Plagne or Plagne Bellecôte. Magnificent panorama of the surrounding peaks.

On the way down, take the road on the left, which passes below the Roche de Mio gondola. This will take you to Lac des Blanchets (La Plagne reservoir). A great opportunity to see ibex at la Roche Fendue. Then descend to the Col de Forcle and Belle Plagne.

Every summer, on the last weekend of July, the glacier hosts the runners of the 6000D Race of Giants. More than 1,500 participants leave Aime in the valley to arrive at the glacier and then descend via le Dérochoir, Plagne Bellecôte and Montchavin les Coches.
