From the Bruyères parking lot, you enter a dense forest of oak and beech trees, ideal on hot days as the climb to the Col du Grapillon is quite steep.
Too bad the ski lift on your right can't help!
Once you've reached the Col, you're back on an easier and, above all, airier ridge path, allowing you to recover before reaching the summit: from the pointe de la Cochette, there's a lovely panorama of the Bauges, Belledonne, the Italian side of Mont-Blanc and as far as the Monts du Lyonnais.
Here you'll find the large metal cross facing the Entremonts valley: its openwork is a reminder of the violent winds that can sometimes occur, so keep a close eye on the weather!
On the way back, pick out a few mushrooms here and there along the trail to make a well-deserved omelette, as well as a little gourmet break on the way back at the Auberge du Praz, where Grégory will delight your taste buds!
