The purpose of this orienteering course is to follow a defined path, to improve ones ability to link elements on the map to those on the ground, to understand legends and scale. The course is materialized through tags (orange and white markers) placed along the course and referenced on the map as check points. Punch pliers are attached to these markers to justify your prescence. Several courses have been created by Passy town council in partnership with the local Orienteering Committee: twelve at Lake Passy, one in Plaine Joux and one at the lac Gris.
