Departing from Pralognan-la-Vanoise (73710)
Average length : 01h30
Signed walking trail
Animals allowed

From the Bouquetin parking lot walk to the village center and the bottom station of the Mt. Bochor aerial tram.
Enjoy riding up 600 vertical meters in just 3 minutes. The start of the trail on Bochor Plateau is located just 100 meters away from the top of the aerial tram.
This discovery trail includes 11 panoramic interpretive signs that explain every facet of the surrounding alpine landscapes and environment.
Depending on the aspect and type of soil, you will see a wide variety of flowers, vegetation, insects, and butterflies (Mountain Apollo…), some very rare, between the forest and the alpine grasses. You will also share your walk with a herd of dairy cows that graze in the area during the summer months.
An interpretive sign explaining the local geology is located at the trail’s 2023m high point.
From here you can see part of the Pralognan ski area, as well as Aiguille de la Vanoise Spire and Grande Casse Peak (the highest point in Savoie).

ALTERNATIVES for the descent
To return to the village, you have two options:
Just take the aerial tram back downhill!
Or hike down trail no. 7 (and then 17).
Walk to the trailhead by taking the path/farm road (from the Le Pachu 2000 restaurant). After the Ancolie chairlift top station, take the second trail on your left. The trail is steep but well-maintained, comfortably leading you over the rugged terrain down to Pralognan (600m of vertical drop) via Les Fontanettes.

Total elevation gain : 78m
