Le Barmail - les herbes rouges (Boucle)

From Les Lanches - Beaupraz bridge.
Cross the hamlet of Beaupraz and head east. (ND des neiges chapel under restoration) At the entrance to the forest turn left. Steady ascent in this valley of golden tuff (alkaria) with an interesting flora. Cross the stream at the top, just before arriving at the Lavachey house. Take the direction of Rosset d'en bas. Go to the hamlet or follow the wall to the cross of Rosset. Go up until you cross the path that goes into the forest to the south. A pleasant walk on a balcony where you can often see wild animals. Follow this path until you reach a ruin (the Lauyes cellar) where you join the path that goes to the Mont Pourri refuge. Go down the combe du Trovet by this path to Beaupraz. You can do this loop in the other direction.
Difficulties: comes from the roughness of the first climb. Flat section: a difficult step.
