0/ Departure from the upper station of the Pré Richard chairlift 1/ Turn right, skirt the reservoir and, before a group of 3 ski-lift towers, take the track on the left which leads to an open area. 2/ At the Pellys rock, take the track that climbs to the right and follow the signs for "Col des Boeufs". You need to be sure-footed, as the path leads up a fairly steep slope. You will climb up through the woods. 3/ At the pass, take the path that climbs to your right. At another crossroads, take the track on your right. Follow the path as it winds its way up through the meadow. You will reach the summit of Mont Baron, marked by a cross.
4/ Return by the same route.
