Chapel and Essarts trail
A path in the forest with information panels on fauna and flora. A very nice walk without difficulty where you can discover the religious heritage of Valfréjus, formerly the hamlet of Charmaix and where you can hear the water of the torrents flowing in summer.
About
0/ Start from the meadow at the entrance to the Valfréjus resort next to the car park.
1/ Take the path that goes down towards the Charmaix chapel.
2/ Make a short stop to admire the black Virgin of the sanctuary.
3/ Cross the stone bridge and continue on the path until you reach the tarmac road.
4/ Follow the road upstream to bend n°1.
5/ In the bend, take the path at the sign "Les Essarts".
6/ Continue until you reach the end of the forest and admire the exceptional flora.
7/ Return to the resort by the Seuil road.
