From the arête itself a wonderful view opens up over Lake Geneva, the Jura mountains and the Aravis range to Mont Blanc. The lake, at 1730 m, is on the Grande Randonnee no.96.

The Lessy lake
A 5 hour walk (return trip) from Chinaillon will take you to this mountain lake lying in a gulley at the foot of the arête between the Pic du Jalouvre, the Buclon and the Aiguille Verte.
