Cosmiques Hôtel

Cosmiques is three entities that are one, eclectic, dynamic, cosmopolitan - and on three levels. Three levels of living, sharing and intimacy, pleasure and reflection, discovery and emancipation. A place in the center of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, a hotel, a restaurant bar and a night bar.

A place for everyone around a certain love of life, around the mountain and an opening to the world. It is the desire to share a certain Chamonix: mountainous, modern, cultural, historical, musical, mixed.


The Rooms-
The hotel contrasts with the immensity of the space associated with the cosmos, with a place that offers comfort through proximity. Composed of 17 rooms ranging from the classic to the mezzanine, we cover the essentials by a simple functionality. Cosmiques, is uncluttered and colorful, simple and functional, with a notion of heritage from the golden age of skiing and mountaineering, it is a base in the center of Chamonix in a building that has stood the test of time since 1897. The spirit of the place comes from a certain lifestyle and comfort of the 70s in the heart of Chamonix.
Almost every detail of the design, right down to the inspiration for our Cosmiques wallpaper, is derived from a story. Yet, we hope to provide a place where new memories are created and shared. Wooden floors, the repeating pattern of the Cosmiques, the relaxed bed, every detail of the design comes from a story and it is a story to be written.
We offer a selection of books and a mix of photographs to help stimulate the imagination while eliminating distractions such as televisions and phones from each room.
Each of the 17 Rooms has original photographs from the 1960s through the 1990s. Of people, moments, photographers who have made or are making the mountain Chamonix. The sliding, the climbing, the intense and sometimes crazy life, as only can be found in Chamonix.

The classic blue or pink:
Simple and comfortable, from 10 to 13m2 depending on the configuration, the classic has a double bed and a bathroom with shower that opens onto the room. Designed as a pied à terre, with its own photos and books, it is the place to be to live Chamonix, whether it is on the mountain or in the city.
Surface area: 10 to 13 m2
Bathroom : with shower, 1 ceramic basin inside for the 13m2 and outside the bathroom for the 10m2.
WC : in the bathroom.
Bed : 140 cm for the 9m2 and 160 cm for the 12 m2
Storage: long line of hooks + storage boxes under the beds
No television or telephone in the room. Free Wifi

The yellow mezzanine (available from July 2021):
On the last and third floor of the building, are the 4 mezzanine rooms, of 12m2 + with their mezzanines, slipped under the roof of Chamonix). Simple and comfortable, with two double beds and a bathroom with shower that opens onto the room, it is a landmark for those who love heights and verticality. Or simply those who are looking for a pied à terre to live Chamonix completely.
Surface area: 12 m2
Bathroom : with shower, 1 ceramic basin.
WC : in the bathroom.
Bed of 160 cm and 2 single beds of 80 cm in mezzanine. Be careful the mezzanines are not made for young children.
Storage : long line of hooks + storage boxes under the beds

The nature
Nature is of course a privileged environment in Chamonix, and on our scale with Cosmiques we are setting up some actions in an eco-responsible approach, here is a first exhaustive list:
For the hotel :
We offer a selection of books and a mix of photographs to help stimulate the imagination while eliminating distractions such as televisions and phones from each room. All photographs are by and about players in the local ski and mountaineering community, while our books are on loan and donated, or second-hand.
Our shower products and shampoos are vegan and refillable to avoid over-consumption of packaging and plastic.
We suggest to our clients who stay several nights that they wash their sheets and towels every 3 to 4 days.
The bedding is 100% French made, frame, box spring, mattress, comforter and pillows.
For the Restaurant :
It is a healthy cuisine that follows the seasons, from fresh ingredients, sourced as much as possible locally and a sustainable agriculture approach. For those who wish, the food is also gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan. But we also like local fish and certain meats. And then we like to drink too, wines from small French producers.
For the Bar:
Our drinks are of French origin, no American soda, and we work with brewers from Savoy: Yaute Cola Bio, the Yaute&Tea and the Limonade. The fruit juices are organic and come from l'Arbre à Jus, while the infusions are from Comptoirs d'Herboristerie.
