To participate in the protection of the environment: to safeguard the diversity of animal breeds and plant species.
In 1992, a small number of craftsmen and wool producers from the Drôme region formed an association under the French law of 1901 called "LA TOISON D'ART".
They wished to promote through group actions their trades whose knowledge goes from the raw material, the natural animal or vegetable fibres, to the finished products.
Currently the association gathers about sixty members, creative craftsmen and producers who represent all the textile sector, from breeding to spinning, weaving, dyeing, felting, knitting, leatherwork, painting on wool or silk, creation of jewels, textile art...
To sensitize the public and to transmit a craft heritage: to make known all the chain of transformation of the fibres, from the raw raw material to the finished product.
