La Plagne (73210)

A solo or team challenge in a race that is open to all.

Starting at sunset, this ski touring race in a "stop or keep going" format is great for both amateurs and the most demanding athletes with its series of 3 circuits, each of which climbs to one of La Plagne's mythical mountain peaks.

New for 2024: the Monoface, a straight climb to the Grande Rochette.

A straight climb on the route of circuit 1 of the Triface arriving at the Grande Rochette for a leisure format. You can admire the incredible view while you enjoy your post-race refreshments until 8.15pm.

The TRIFACE is a ski touring race in a "stop or keep going" format with a series of 3 successive circuits that climb to three of the mythical peaks around Plagne Centre: Grande Rochette, Verdons and Becoin.
If the 1st circuit is enough for you, there's no problem, you can stop at the base camp in Plagne Centre, enjoy a hot drink and still be ranked! The most determined will attempt to complete the 3 circuits and be among the finishers, if they have respected the time limits!

The race is for both amateurs and those who consider themselves real athletes, with different options: timed/ranked (competition format) or timed/not ranked (leisure format).

If you want to enjoy this original experience as part of a team, you can do the race as a 3-person relay (each doing one circuit), in mixed or single-sex teams. Cheer on your team-mates and maybe you will be on the podium!
Supporters can also come and encourage their friends and admire a fabulous vibrant sunset at the same time.

Since the event is organised in close collaboration with the Amicale des Sapeurs-Pompiers de La Plagne, firemen can sign up for the "Firefighters' Challenge’’. You compete over the same course, but will be ranked only with the other firemen who are participating.

Race open to over 16s:
- Women
- Men
- Mixed teams
- Single-sex teams

The different race formats:
MONOFACE (500m elev. gain)
Circuit 1 (500 m elev. gain & 500 m descent)
Circuit 1 + 2 (1000 m elev. gain & 1000 m descent)
Circuit 1 + 2 + 3 (1300 m elev. gain & 1300 descent) = Finisher
Circuit 1 + 2 + 3 (1300 m elev. gain & 1300 descent) in relay team of 3
Circuit 1 + 2 + 3 (1300 m elev. gain & 1300 descent) in a mixed team

For even more fun, why not come in fancy dress! There will be a special prize for the competitor with the most original costume!
