A show put on by the Scom company.
Inspired by the works of abstract painters such as Vassili Kandinsky, Joan Miro, Yayoi Kusama and Sonia Delaunay, TRAIT(s) presents a circus artist on a Cyr wheel creating a painting using her wheel. In form and content, from apparatus to circular public addressing, this show explores the circle in order to explore what makes the circus. The circus movement is written and drawn at the pace of the gush of shapes and colours, under the action of the apparatus.
TRAIT(s) will reveal the perfect technical mastery required in the art of painting as well as the extraordinary performance involved in total mastery of a circus apparatus. With the constant risk of failure.
