The only previous Tour de France finish in Megève was in 2016, in a time trial dominated by Chris Froome, who was on his way to his third title. The resort has also been frequented by the Critérium du Dauphiné peloton, notably in 2020 for the last two finishes of an eventful weekend. The young riders Lennard Kamnä and Sepp Kuss took two victories, while the general classification was upset by Primoz Roglic;s crash and drop-out, allowing Colombian rider Dani Martinez to add his name to the list of winners.

Tour de France - Megève Finish Line
Stage 10 Morzine - Megève offers a breathtaking mountain setting. The route winds its way through the valleys, leading to a battle between the strongest riders for the flamme rouge at the finish line. This year, the finish line will be at the altiport, just like in the Critérium du Dauphiné 2020.
