An Airbus crashes high in the Andes. Two survivors end up with footballers' feet roasted in almonds. What remains is the thigh of a late steward, which Yvonne wants to keep for Christmas, a whim that infuriates her husband, Lionel. Two other miracles appear, a rioter on his way to becoming El Presidente of the Putchicador, and the composer of the new regime's anthem. A fifth arrives, an army general who will feed everyone. The satiated heroes return to the Amazon jungle, its military junta and its divas reincarnated as birds. In this farce, created in 1990 with Jacqueline Maillan, Jean-Michel Ribes bites revolutionary clichés to the bone, tackles global warming and populism on the march.
