Christophe was born and raised in Chamonix Mont Blanc, France. After many years travelling around the world, he landed on the other side of the world in Perth, Western Australia, where he works as a sports coach.
He began painting in his forties, while still living in Perth. With the help of YouTube, and by studying hundreds of painting tutorials and online courses, he began painting in acrylics. He began by doing illustrations and his work quickly sold well.
After a period of three years, he began to paint in oils. The discovery of this new medium took him to a new level as an artist, and it was at this point that Christophe also began to paint ‘en plein air’. The challenge of capturing a light or a moment on the spot is one that not all artists are capable of.
His work sold well and although life in Western Australia was good, his heart still yearned for his native home in the Alps. The regular painting holidays in Chamonix were no longer enough, so in 2023 he moved back to Haute Savoie to become a painter and pursue his passion for painting from life and especially the mountains. .
His collections come from France, Italy, Switzerland, Australia, Canada and the United States.
