Over the years, La Grande Odyssée VVF has established itself as the meeting place for the elite of mid-distance mushers. In 2025, the race will celebrate its 20th anniversary, when 65 mushers and their 600 top-level athlete dogs will set off for 14 days of racing, 400 km and 12,000 meters of ascent between Haute Savoie, Savoie and Isère.
The snow-front start is always a great spectacle, with the dogs stamping their feet on the line.
Free entertainment is also planned in the start village.

- Grand Nord village opens at the Aussois snow front: 10am to 5pm
- Continuous departures and arrivals of sled dog teams at the snow front: 3 pm to 4:30 pm

Stage 6 Aussois - La Grande Odyssée VVF
Aussois hosts the 6th stage of La Grande Odyssée VVF, Europe's annual sled dog event. Europe's top mushers will be on hand for a spectacular race.

Presence of domestic dogs (even on a leash) prohibited on the day of the stage at the start / finish site, near the tracks used by the race and the mushers parking lot.
