Ideal route for beginners alternating groomed and "off-piste" portions with the added bonus of a magnificent view of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains. The second part of the route is common with the one starting from Plagne Bellecôte.

Sport Ski touring route: Plagne Centre - Col de Forcle La Plagne

About

Departing from La Plagne (73210)
Total elevation gain : 350m
Distance : 4km
Signed walking trail

Departing at the bottom of Plagne Centre, the route starts on the path just after the service station (last building on the right when leaving Plagne Centre).
It winds gently down to the Dou du Praz plateau (beware of the portion also taken by pedestrians).

Continue on the path that passes near the restaurant, watch out for the piste crossings (at this level, it's possible to take the track down to Plagne Centre).
Continue the climb following the route to the bottom of the Col de Forcle valley. From there, cross the alpine ski slope and climb into the valley. This very last part is not groomed and allows you to familiarize yourself with the "off-piste" progress.

Be careful not to leave the marked route.
Returning on Plagne Bellecote sector by blue "Ours" piste is recommended. To reach Plagne Centre, take the free shuttle or the ski lifts (ski pass needed). Please note shared route, and respect other users!
