Who is Saint Agathe, and why did she become the patron saint of ski instructors and guides? Take a guided tour of Montchavin and find out!
Montchavin-Les Coches ski instructors put on a show for the patron saint. Then, the not-to-be-missed event: the blessing of the instructors' skis by the village priest.
The tradition continues, and every 1st Wednesday in February, Saint Agathe is celebrated in our resort.
This Wednesday, February 07, 2024, the Tourist Office team and the Montchavin ski school instructors invite tourists and spectators to a program as rich as it is varied:
- 4pm to 7pm: entertainment with Cocktail des montagnes
- From 4:30 to 5:30 pm: discover our heritage with a tour of the village orchestrated by FACIM - RDV in front of Chapelle Sainte Agathe in Montchavin
- 6pm: Torchlight descent followed by the blessing of skis and instructors and a fireworks display.
