From Mount Semnoz at 1,700 metres above sea level or during a night in a refuge at the top of Parmelan at 1,800 metres above sea level you'll discover the mysteries of the Universe during a guided observation session. Groups are limited to 8 people to ensure participants get the most out of their evening.
Photographers can learn the techniques of night shooting and photographing the stars and the Milky Way in order to produce their own heavenly skyscapes. These night-time photography lessons take place over an evening by Lake Annecy.
After more than 20 years as an astronomer and astrophotographer, I now share with the public my experience of producing nightscapes that combine the landscape with the local night sky.
All you need to join these workshops are a knowledge of basic photography techniques - sensitivity, speed and aperture - and a reflex or hybrid camera with a remote control. Anyone photography enthusiast who meets these minimum requirements can participate in a session to learn to shoot the night sky or perfect their technique.
For maximum efficiency, the activity is limited to 2 participants per session.
