The day's sequence will be aimed at climbers. In order, the game will consist in climbing to the col de la Forclaz de Montmin, then to the Croix Fry and the Aravis. The most severe blows will probably be dealt on the final climb to Le Bettex in the côte des Amerands, where some passages reach 17% gradient.

On the 15th stage Les Gets/Les Portes du Soleil - St Gervais Mont Blanc, with 180 kms and over 4000m of ascent, the riders will climb the Col des Aravis to cross the village of La Giettaz, then the village of Flumet.
