Let yourself be guided for a morning to discover the history of the altitude of Courchevel Moriond: a mountain perched at an altitude of 1600 m, in the Tarentaise valley, in Savoie, which is developing to become a sports resort winter from 1946, with the creation of the Courchevel ski resort and the largest ski area in the world: Les 3 Vallées.
What is a mountain? In the past, it was a place temporarily inhabited by families from the valley, punctuated by agricultural life in the mountains.
Walking route with elevation gain and steps, from the tourist office (Maison de Moriond) then the snow front, with a stroll through the village of Vieux Moriond, passage to the Notre-Dame des Neiges chapel, and the Ste -Blandine.
Tour led by a guide of the Land of art and history of the high valleys of Savoie with the FACIM Foundation.
