Edgar Montant was driven to create this tribute by a mad desire to bring him back to life. A tribute to a comedian with a caustic sense of humour, to a disturbing character, to an actor who won a César award for a dramatic role, to a ‘troublemaker’ presidential candidate, to a man with a big heart...
Having trained as a classical musician (trumpet player) and gradually evolved into an actor, the artist's aim in devising this show was to navigate between these two artistic facets. In a way, it's the story of a personal metamorphosis, from musician to actor, from Edgar to Coluche... With his sidekick Antoine Angelloz-Nicoud (guitar), he revisits sketches, songs, music and film extracts, from the perspective of his own personality.
