The potato is the third most important food in the world, with 3,500 varieties and dozens of ways of cooking it. The film's eminently positive vocation is to open a window of reflection on the importance and beauty of biodiversity. In Inca mythology, Axomama is the goddess of the potato, daughter of Pachamama, goddess of the earth. The documentary offers both a historical reading and an aesthetic and artistic look at this tuber. The director, Jean Louis Gonterre, has been photographing potatoes for over 30 years and has exhibited his work in many countries.
