This route takes you first up to Poingt-Ravier before tackling the Pain de Sucre trail. This trail offers magnificent views over the valley from the Pain de Sucre summit.

You then descend below the Pain de Sucre on rolling singles. Once back at Poingt Ravier, the route ends with a technical descent along the banks of the Gorges de l'Enfer before returning to the village to unwind.

Departure: Tourist Office.
1/Take the rue des écoles on the left out of the Tourist Office and join the campsite.
2/ Pass the campsite and turn left onto a path called "L'Eco-Sylve".
3/ After a 1.5 km dry climb, you'll reach the hamlet of Poingt Ravier.
4/ At the fountain in the center, turn right, then right again at the next intersection.
5/ After three kilometers, climb towards Pain de Sucre.
6/ At the summit, retrace your steps and turn left towards "Château Bernard", then back down to Poingt Ravier.
7/ Once back in the hamlet, continue straight on past the fountain, then turn right along a meadow.
8/Follow the signs for the "Gorges de l'enfer": beware of the technical descent on a narrow single in a hairpin bend.
9/ Finish the descent into Valloire via the Borgé and then along the river.
10/ Go back up the rue des écoles to return to the Tourist Office.

Your safety: - Bear in mind that you'll be riding in mountainous areas with sometimes technical trails, significant altitude differences and rapidly changing weather conditions. - Don't overestimate your abilities - Check the local weather forecast before setting off / www.meteofrance.com / tel: 3250 - Anticipate and adapt your clothing to the areas you'll be covering, and bring a survival blanket, windbreaker and whistle. - If you're going off on your own, be sure to provide those around you with information about your itinerary, and make sure you have a charged cell phone. - Always carry a supply of water. - Stay on marked paths. - Watch out for electric fences. - Make your presence known during hunting season (September to January) and in the vicinity of big game drives. - Help: in an emergency, call 112 Your environment : - Respect private property. - Don't light fires. - Keep your garbage and take it away. - Respect fruit crops and do not cross cultivated fields. - Don't frighten livestock. - Close park gates after passing through. Respect the direction of routes. Be careful and courteous when overtaking and crossing hikers.

To keep the mountains a pleasure, choose an activity suited to your level of experience and physical ability. Check the weather and seek advice from qualified professionals, and tell someone about your itinerary. Set off with the right equipment: good shoes and walking poles. In your rucksack, carry a water bottle and snacks to keep your energy levels up, a survival blanket or warm clothing. Protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen and sunglasses. Don't forget binoculars to add a touch of observation to your adventure.

Pets must be kept on a leash.
