And in a joking tone, mother MATTEI still blames her son today for having ruined his career! Beginning with his family as a child, he discovered that he could imitate Cloclo, Adamo, Serge Gainsbourg, etc. As a young teenager, he was a soloist in a choir; these are the first real stage experiences in front of a large audience, then it will be the Geneva university choir. Alongside his vocal abilities, Jean-Michel Mattei plays competitive basketball (JL Bourg) and will even be part of the France Cadet team.
After the baccalaureate, studying psychology and psychomotor skills in Paris, he practiced the profession of psychomotor therapist in Geneva while developing his stage practice and since 2003 he has only lived for the show! He collaborated in particular from 2009 to 2019 with the show Les Grands du Rire on France 3 and is on tour in France and around the world with his show Jean-Michel Mattei, but also with a single on stage A.O.C.
