The Gallo-Roman site of Thovey is an important suburban villa of one hectare located away from the vicus of Casuaria. It is made of a rectangular courtyard (60X40m) surrounded with a portico and has two wings of the building on the North and South side. The West part had large size thermal baths and the East part, accommodation.
Built around 50, the site was set on fire around 270.
The objects found in the excavation are displayed at Faverges archaeological museum.
The Savoie Mont-Blanc Heritage Guides invite you to go back in time by presenting the life, organization and future of this villa classified as a Historic Monument.
