Are you familiar with the color coding system for ski trail difficulty? Blue means a beginner run, red an intermediate, and black an advanced. But have you ever seen a trail covered with the colors and creations of a well-known artist? This is what local art and history tour guides and the FACIM Foundation encourage you to explore. Easy and accessible, a leisurely stroll on foot through the heart of the resort is lined with the monumental sculptures of Lorenzo Quinn. Marvel at the street art in the center of Courchevel 1850 and scattered throughout the ski area. On display outdoors for everyone to enjoy, creating a genuine open-air museum, these works reflect the changing light with the changing weather, emphasizing the contours of the surrounding mountain landscapes in so many amazing ways. Enjoy surprises around every corner. With winter in full swing, snow serves as the centerpiece to trigger an entire array of emotions, and Courchevel as a pinnacle of art.
Thanks to the FACIM Foundation, embark on a guided tour led by local art and history experts from the area’s high mountain valleys (Savoie). A catalog and a promotional video are available on the Courchevel Tourisme and FACIM Foundation websites.
