2023: As Laurent and Xavier celebrate their 50th birthday, the 3 childhood friends and their guide, Yorick Vion, realise their dream: to reach the summit of Manaslu (8163m) together before skiing back down, still together.

There are four of them, and they've made the same journey, but they haven't had the same experience or the same feelings. This film tells the story of the expedition: the fears, the doubts, the difficulties, but also, and above all, the high points and the joys. Through the stories of the 4 fantastic climbers, and the images they brought back from the Himalayas, we discover the reality of an 8000m expedition, and the difficulties involved before being able to set foot in the death zone.
