Maïe Fel has created forty watercolors illustrating the account of the first Chamonix-Zermatt crossing by Scottish glaciologist James David Forbes (1809-1868) in August 1842. The story was compiled by Reine Marie Faure, a researcher at St Andrews University (Scotland), from the unpublished writings of J.D. Forbes.
The artist also explores the glaciers of the Alps through large acrylic ink drawings on Japanese paper.
