First part :
Born in Lyon, Auren started out as a pianist. Claiming her attachment to French variety music as much as to the raw simplicity of Johnny Cash, the young musician writes her own songs and traces her path step by step on her own, starting with small stages to end up with prestigious opening acts such as Chris Isaak or Francis Cabrel, who is one of her claimed influences.
For several years, Thaïs Té has taken a pure approach to music. With her guitar, she proposed a luminous pop-folk tinged with French song. Today, she is taking a strong musical turn. With more pop and sometimes darker sounds, she initiates a quest for freedom born of the need to find a breath lost in well-established ideals.
The raw and organic energy of the Anglo-Saxon bands that have always inspired her is mixed with more electronic layers, always with the guitar as her favourite instrument. Her collaboration with Benjamin Geffen, the producer with whom she partnered to achieve her metamorphosis, helped create this enveloping and meticulous atmosphere.
It is largely the solo work on stage over the last few years that has pushed Thaïs Té out of her comfort zone: determined to build new models, she delivers very intimate tracks that get straight to the point.
