The impacts of climate change are now visible, and it's hard to argue with them. The "solutions" suggested so far sometimes encourage sobriety, sometimes degrowth. Some could also be associated with green capitalism. But what is really at stake in the proposals being debated? And what are the practices and initiatives already being put in place by citizens and local authorities to repair the future together?

David Wahl's show is a cross between theatre and science. This show marks David Wahl's first show for young audiences. His idea is to use a playful approach to familiarise young people with the issues surrounding plastics and, by extension, the environment. Its aim is to retrace the history of synthetic polymers, denouncing their harmfulness and, above all, trying to find solutions to put an end to them. Using a machine consisting of a shredder and a 3D printer, the children will experience the fun of recycling. It's a fun way to raise awareness of the ecological challenges facing our civilisation, and to act accordingly.

The speaker
David Wahl is an author, playwright and performer.
After his first play, Le Chant du narcisse, published in 2004, he joined the Théâtre du Rond-Point and the Art public contemporain agency. Since 2013, he has devoted himself to writing and performing Causeries. These stories draw on history, science, philosophy and literature. In 2020, Océanopolis in Brest commissioned him to create three mini Causeries in the form of podcasts integrated into the tour of the cultural and scientific centre; he has been an associate artist there ever since. New Causeries are currently being written.
