Cultural season - 3 Femmes

Mrs. Chevalier, an elderly lady from the upper middle class with a strong character, is forced by her daughter, whom she hasn't seen in twenty years, to hire a home help: Joëlle. Joëlle, happy to have found a job at last, uses all her patience to deal with the old lady's obnoxious attitude.
One evening, Mrs Chevalier meets Joëlle's daughter, also named Joëlle. She's a young, unemployed single mother, angry at the few opportunities her condition affords her. The old lady confuses her with her granddaughter Amélie, whom she hasn't seen since she was a year old.
This misunderstanding turns the lives of all three protagonists upside down: for Madame Chevalier, it's an unexpected ray of sunshine that enters her life; for Joëlle (the mother), it's an imposture that jeopardizes her position; and for Joëlle (the daughter), it's a chance to see further ahead, to finally break free from her precarious condition.
