The fantasy is a musical genre that has undergone many changes: from a polyphonic form that is often rather austere and severe in the 17th century, it becomes, in the second half of the 18th century, spontaneous in a rhythmic freedom close to improvisation. The transition took place between 1700 and 1740, mainly in Italy and Germany. The program starts in Italy with Giuseppe Torelli and Vivaldi, and ends in Germany with Bach, JG Pisendel, and Sylvius Weiss, the great lutenist of the court of Dresden. This inspiring city will be the finale of this musical journey celebrating this changing fantasy, with its flamboyant cadences and colorful and imaginative meaning!
