Concert de la Camerata du Mont-Blanc

Camerata du Mont-Blanc's first concert of the season

Cultural Concert de la Camerata du Mont-Blanc Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

On Sunday 21 April 2024 from 17:00:00 in 18:30:00
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (74400)

For its first concert of the season, the Camerata du Mont-Blanc once again invites you on a musical journey across Europe "from the Atlantic to the Urals".
The journey begins on the shores of the Adriatic, with Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto for 2 violins in A Major Op.3 Livre.1 n° 5, RV 519 from the "Estro Armonico".
Anton Arensky's Variations on a Theme by Tchaikovsky Op. 35a will then evoke oriental lands, before setting course for the legends and lakes of the Nordic countries, with Edward Grieg's Two Nordic Melodies for string orchestra Op. 63.
We then return to Central Europe and its traditional dances with Anton Dvorak's Slavonic Dance Op. 72 No. 2 in E minor.
Robert Fuchs' Serenade for Strings No.2 in C Major closes the program with a return to Vienna, the Austrian composer's home town, in a synthesis of evocative melodies and sustained rhythms.
