In an era of identity evolution, Jean-Michel, a 70-year-old bachelor, has lost all his bearings in this society and seems to have little to look forward to in life. But then, in the retirement home where he lives, Suzanne, the director, is taken to task by young demonstrators demanding the destruction of a mural they find offensive. As he observes with irony this post-pandemic era, where everything seems to be drifting out of control, Jean-Michel takes control of his life... and that of others.
