WICKED follows the journey of the legendary witches of the world of Oz. Elphaba, a young woman misunderstood because of the unusual color of her green skin does not even suspect the extent of her powers. By her side, Glinda who, as popular as she is privileged, does not yet know the true nature of her heart. Their meeting at the University of Shiz, in the fantastic world of Oz, marks the beginning of an unlikely but deep friendship. However, their relationship with The Wizard of Oz will undermine this friendship and see their paths go away. While Glinda, thirsty for popularity, lets herself be seduced by power, Elphaba's determination to remain faithful to herself and her entourage will have consequences as unfortunate as unexpected. Their extraordinary adventures in the land of Oz will finally lead them to fulfill their destiny by becoming respectively the Good and the Evil Witch of the West.
