Chalet Chez Maidzet

Our house is made of local wood in a style that combines modernity and tradition. Inside it feels like a cosy cocoon.
The house is in the centre of a small village in the Tarentaise and is south facing so you can make the most of the sunshine and the lovely view of La Plagne from the sitting room or the balcony. In summer, you can enjoy a cool breakfast on the terrace shaded by a traditional awning.
The village of Tessens is in the Tarentaise valley on the sunny side of the valley looking across to the ski resorts. You can set off from the house for a hike in the foothills of the Beaufortain massif, drive to the Vanoise National Park in 30 minutes or to the main ski resorts (La Plagne, Les Arcs, Tignes, Val d'Isère).
There are lovely cycle routes you can take to discover the valley and the upper Tarentaise, as well as guided tours of the historic buildings in Aime (the basilica, the Montmayeur tower and the archaeological museum). You can also try a rafting descent on the Isère river, canyoning or via ferrata in the local area.
