This hike is open to all (aged 13 and over) and is supervised by a mountain leader specialising in mindfulness walking and a certified Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa teacher.
Whether you wear snowshoes or not, depending on the snow conditions, you'll begin the walk with an introduction to mindfulness walking and, more specifically, to the techniques of Afghani walking.
Awareness of breath, breathing, space, physical sensations, finding your rhythm, internal balance... A full programme to try out different breathing techniques, awareness of effort and synchronisation of breath with walking.
You'll then move on to an area suitable for a winter outdoor Hatha Yoga session.
This session lasts around an hour and consists of a series of postural exercises and yoga-inspired breathing to deepen the breathing techniques you will have experienced while walking.
Finally, a guided meditation session will lead you to deep relaxation in harmony with nature.
Return downhill at your own pace.
As well as the physical and mental benefits of this half-day experience, it will also give you the basics for safer footing and conserving energy to increase your stamina.
A hot drink will be provided by your guide during the hike.
If you don't have any snowshoes, your guide can provide you with some.
