1st Canitrail in Montchavin-Les Coches

What is the Cani Trail?
It is a sports activity where a dog and a person run together. The dog has a harness and runs in front of their master, who is attached to the dog with an elastic lead and a harness or belt.
The Canitrail takes place over distances of up to 20 km in one or more stages over 1 or 2 days. The events are run or walked at your own pace.

On the programme:
- Saturday, 8 July: "La Drêt", a short event (in vertical kilometre style) 3km180 for 652 metres of elevation gain.
Starts in the centre of Montchavin at 6.30pm and ends in Plan Bois.
This event is not an official format and is not recognised by the Canine Sports & Leisure Federation. It will therefore be proposed as a "fun bonus" to participants as a preamble to the Sunday race and will not count towards the final classification of the event.
- Sunday, 9 July: "La Belentro", a 9km800 race with 455 metres of elevation gain.
The race starts and finishes in the centre of Les Coches. Starts at 9am.

Our 4-legged friends
The wellbeing of dogs is the organisers' main concern, so in the case of very hot weather, race times will be adapted. There will be water points at several places along the route where the dogs can drink.

Did you know? Just like humans when they enter a sports competition, dogs have to present a medical certificate:
The canine health form is a list of the dog's vaccines and their dates of validity. It has all the information event organisers need. It must be signed by a vet to guarantee the validity of the information it contains.
The information is checked the day before the event by the vets present for the event.
