Cycling & cheese, the Savoie and Haute Savoie served on a plate
Five distinct itineraries
The Vélo & Fromages label highlights themed biking routes through the local cheese regions. In 2020, three new itineraries were accredited in the Savoie Mont Blanc: the Vallée Verte Circuit, the Tour of the Semnoz, and the Tour of the Glières. They join the two itineraries created in the summer of 2019: the Beaufortain Crossing, and the Tour of the Colombier d'Aillon.
This medium-difficulty route begins with a climb through the shaded forest to the Col de Leschaux (897 m), followed by a descent to the Chéran Valley. The end of the ride takes place along the western slope of the Semnoz.
